Aaron Cooley

Aaron Cooley has extensive experience in data science and analytics, with a focus on decisioning, portfolio management, fraud prevention, and model development. Aaron began their career at Ford Motor Credit Company as a Financial Analyst and then moved on to Fifth Third Bank as part of the International Corporate Banking team. Aaron then joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant before joining Capital One as the Head of Originations Analytics. Their most recent role was at Progressive Leasing, where they held various positions, including Director of Data Science, Sr. Director of Data Science and Risk, and Vice President of Data Science & Analytics. In their current role at Progressive Leasing, they manage a team of over 40 associates and is responsible for overseeing all data science functions for a $2 billion portfolio.

Aaron Cooley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management (Entrepreneurship emphasis) and Japanese from Brigham Young University in 2003. Aaron also participated in a special exchange program at the University of Tsukuba in 2000-2001, where they focused on Japanese Language and Culture. Subsequently, Cooley pursued higher education and received an MBA with an emphasis in Strategy and Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2010.
