Project Aamhi is a grassroots NGO pioneering a community-led circular economy in coastal Maharashtra. Based in Nandgaon, Murud, we integrate environmental restoration with social equity to create a waste-free future.

In Marathi, "Aamhi" means "We." This spirit of collective action drives our mission to transform "litter into livelihoods." Supported by the Alibaug Solid Waste Management Association (ASWM), we have developed a scalable, scientific model for rural waste management.

Our Impact at a Glance:
500+ Tons of Waste Extracted: We have successfully diverted over half a million kilograms of non-biodegradable waste from beaches, mangroves, and landfills.

75% Women Workforce: We are a women-centric movement. Three-quarters of our team is comprised of local rural women, providing them with financial independence and leadership roles.

Hyper-Local Focus: Our core operations in the village of Nandgaon (Murud) serve as a model for sustainable rural development across the Raigad district.
