They began their professional journey in politics, working as a congressional campaign staff member during their freshman year of college. Throughout their career, Leran has engaged in various roles focusing on food security, social justice, and international issues, including legislative internships and positions with advocacy organizations. They have also instructed youth on cooking and nutrition, managing projects aimed at promoting local food systems. Currently, Leran continues to blend their passion for food with a commitment to social justice.
