Project Courage
Maria Warren is an experienced professional with a diverse background in counseling, wellness coordination, and fitness instruction. Currently serving as a School Based Counselor at Project Courage since June 2024, Maria has also been a Group Fitness Instructor at mActivity since 2017. Prior to these roles, Maria worked at Yale New Haven Health as a Clinical Operations Specialist and Health Coach and Wellness Coordinator from October 2018 to June 2024. Maria held the position of Wellness Coordinator at Clifford Beers Clinic from April 2017 to October 2018, focusing on the Project LAUNCH initiative that addresses unmet children's health needs. Additionally, Maria was the Adult Advocate and Volunteer Coordinator at the Rape Crisis Center of Milford Inc. from May 2014 to February 2016. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, Maria also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Albertus Magnus College.

Project Courage helps people heal and find purpose by listening to their stories. We have learned, as a community, that each of us has pieces we wish to forget.
