Alison Mason

Research Fellow at Project Drawdown

Alison Mason is an experienced energy professional currently serving as the Energy Program Officer at Fundación Comunitaria de Puerto Rico, overseeing energy programs since July 2024. As a Solar Integration Expert and Principal at SunJuice Solar LLC since May 2002, Alison focuses on breaking down barriers to clean solar energy access globally, with expertise in various aspects of solar technology. As a Research Fellow at Project Drawdown since October 2016, contributions include a literature review on Grid Flexibility. Previously, as the Founding Director of Barrio Eléctrico, Alison established a non-profit to promote equitable access to solar-plus-storage systems in Puerto Rico. Other roles include Director of Channel Sales at Spirae and Director of Marketing at SkyFuel, Inc. and ReflecTech, Inc. Alison holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and Colorado State University, respectively.
