Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Project Vanguards LLC is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business specializing in teaching PMP (Project Management Professional) and ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) Exam Prep Courses. We are driven by our two guiding principles: Integrity and Unparalleled Service, meaning your success on passing the PMP and ACP Exams is our mission!

Forbes Magazine (2014) has listed the PMP credential as the fourth most coveted credential in the world. That's because it's recognized in over 187 countries as the gold standard in management. Some people think that the PMP credential applies only to Project Managers directly, but that simply is not the case. In fact, it applies to any supervisor or manager (or person aspiring to become one) who wants to distinguish themselves from their peers. And it's becoming a mark of excellence just by the statistics alone. Last year (2013) the Project Management Institute, or PMI, which is the International Non-Profit Organization that has trademarked the PMP credential, revealed that the average age of all people world-wide who earned the PMP credential in 2013 was 35 years of age. Just 10 years ago it was 50 years of age. This is clearly proof that more and more young professionals are pursuing this credential in order to get ahead in their respective field, regardless of industry.

There are, however, some naysayers who still insist that the PMP is only for Project Managers. We here at Project Vanguards disagree. Why you might ask? Because in order to successfully pass the PMP Exam you must have mastery (NOT expertise; MASTERY) of the following knowledge areas:

- Integration Mgmt
- Scope Mgmt
- Time and Cost Mgmt
- Quality Mgmt
- Human Resource Mgmt
- Communications Mgmt
- Risk Mgmt
- Stakeholder Mgmt
- Procurement Mgmt

Now I ask you, in what profession do these areas NOT apply??? The PMP is for the leaders; the future.
