Emily Millhiser

Emily Millhiser is the Chief Development Officer at GoochlandCares, where they focus on strategic fundraising and donor relations. Previously, they served in various leadership roles at CARITAS, enhancing community engagement and volunteer management. Emily has an extensive background in higher education, having worked with the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, where they managed programs aimed at supporting minority and first-generation students. They earned a Ph.D. in Neurobiology and Genetics from Rockefeller University and held several research positions, including as an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University.
