Eric Labonte

Eric Labonte is a mechanism-focused translational scientist with extensive experience in pharmacology and therapeutic discovery. Currently serving as the Director of Translational Biology at ProKidney, Eric leads efforts in the design and oversight of in vivo studies and biomarker strategy for a novel kidney cell therapy. They previously held senior roles at companies such as Recursion Pharmaceuticals and Ardelyx, where they contributed to significant drug development projects, including therapies for metabolic and renal conditions. Eric's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, where they conducted research on lipid metabolism and metabolic diseases.
