Michael Czerwinski

Michael Czerwinski, PhD, is currently serving as Principal Scientist at ProKidney Corp. since May 2025, following a role as Senior Data Scientist at Tune Therapeutics from May 2022 to May 2025. Expertise includes multimodal target discovery, gene therapy specificity, and pre-clinical risk assessment, along with significant contributions in data integrity and regulatory compliance. Previously, Michael worked as a Scientist and Consultant at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, focusing on technological innovations in human health, and held positions at Precision BioSciences as Data Scientist II and I, where efforts centered on NGS-based cell therapy assay development. Academic background features a PhD in Cell Biology from Duke University, complemented by postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Michigan Medical School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in development and engineering of human tissues and stem cell biology.
