Martijn Smit has a strong background in spatial planning and environmental management, with experience spanning over two decades. Beginning as a coordinator and legal advisor at the Ministry of LNV from 2000 to 2003, Martijn progressed to various roles in local government, notably serving as a legal policy officer in municipalities such as Loppersum and Terschelling. In subsequent years, Martijn held the position of legal policy officer for spatial planning at Slochteren, where expertise in planning procedures and regulations was developed. Since January 2018, Martijn has been an advisor for spatial development at Midden-Groningen, focusing on environmental plans and planning procedures for spatial projects.
