Prolifagen is harnessing the power of microRNA to prevent the progression from heart attack to heart failure.  PRO302, is a patented mixture of miR302 and a hydrogel (Hyaluronic Acid) that is introduced to damaged heart tissue following a heart attack.  The mixture induces a proliferation of cardiomyocytes, which can promote the regeneration of the patient’s heart muscle as well as prevent the build-up of scar tissue.  This can help restore the heart’s pumping capacity and reduce the likelihood of progression to heart failure. 
 
Prolifagen internal studies on mice, pigs and in-vitro human tissue have demonstrated that administration of PRO302 induces a proliferation of cardiomyocytes and prevents post-heart attack scarring of damaged heart tissue.

Prolifagen has an exclusive license with the University of Pennsylvania for three issued USPTO patents.  Continuations have been filed on the existing IP.
