Sonja Chernos

Sonja Chernos is the Vice President of Publishing for New Readers Press, a division of ProLiteracy Worldwide, where they are responsible for strategic direction, curriculum development, and the distribution of educational solutions. With a background in adult basic education and workforce development, Sonja previously held roles at McGraw-Hill Education as Director of Academic Design and as Vice President of Intervention and Adult Education. Their earlier experience includes working as a Research Coordinator at St. Joseph's Community Hospital and as a Senior Editor at Glencoe/McGraw-Hill. Sonja earned both an MPH in Health Education and a BS in Environmental and Occupational Health Science from California State University, Northridge.
