Damon Austin is Prologis’ chief development officer and is responsible for all global development activities, including the company’s Customer-Led Development (CLD) and Data Center businesses and other higher and better use initiatives. He is a member of Prologis’ Executive Committee and chairs the company’s Investment Committee. He also guides the company’s global capital deployment strategy in close partnership with key global and regional leaders to ensure alignment across markets.
Austin is a seasoned real estate leader with extensive experience in capital deployment and development strategy. Previously, he served as managing director, global head of CLD, where his team spearheaded build-to-suit transactions for Prologis’ largest and fastest-growing multi-market customers. He also led Prologis’ global data center strategy, a capability built to optimize the company’s energized portfolio of buildings and land. Before that, he was head of capital deployment for the U.S. West Region, overseeing all investment and development activity.
Austin holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
