Jonathan Mitchell

Jonathan Mitchell is a Senior Research Scientist at Promega Corporation since March 2019, where work focuses on developing cell-based potency assays for antiviral and immuno-oncology drug discovery. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Scientist at Imanis Life Sciences, leading R&D on oncolytic viruses and viral vectors from July 2016 to February 2019. Jonathan has also conducted postdoctoral research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, examining hepatitis C virus-associated carcinogenesis, and completed graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where research concentrated on DNA virus interaction with the host DNA damage response. An undergraduate research assistantship at the University of Pittsburgh involved engineering yeast strains for DNA replication studies. Jonathan holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Pittsburgh.
