Alin Mutu

Alin Mutu, CISSP, serves as the Director of Product Management at Proofpoint since April 2020. Previously, Alin held the same position at Privafy and contributed to addressing legacy security challenges through comprehensive cyber threat protection. Prior to that, Alin worked at Symantec for nearly a decade, advancing to Director of Product Management for Identity and Authentication and serving as a Senior Security Architect after the acquisition of VeriSign. Alin’s extensive experience began at VeriSign, where responsibilities spanned from Sr. Sales Engineering Architect to managerial roles, focusing on strong authentication services. Alin's career commenced as a Systems Engineer at AegisStar, Corp. Alin holds a master's degree in Economics and Computer Science from Academia de Studii Economice din București.
