Carl Leonard

Carl Leonard is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in product marketing and threat research. Currently serving as a Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Proofpoint since April 2022, Carl previously held the position of Principal Security Analyst at Forcepoint from May 2015 to April 2021, where responsibilities included influencing research activities and acting as a press spokesperson on cybersecurity matters. Prior to that, Carl was the Senior Manager of Websense Security Labs for the EMEA region from January 2008 to May 2015, overseeing research and incident handling. Carl's career began at SurfControl, progressing through various roles in threat research from 2003 to 2008. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, obtained between 1999 and 2002.
