Dan Rapp

Dan Rapp is an experienced technology executive currently serving as Group VP of AI/ML at Proofpoint since August 2016, where responsibilities include building the machine learning and artificial intelligence team and guiding product innovation. Previously, as Chief Technology Officer at Vivint Solar, Dan played a pivotal role in making the company one of the fastest-growing solar energy firms, overseeing all technology aspects. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at FamilySearch, where Dan enhanced user experience and directed applied research, and technical contributions at companies such as NextPage, Whizbang! Labs, Novell, and IBM. Dan holds a B.S. in Applied Physics from Brigham Young University, earned between 1981 and 1987.
