Deb Briggs is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and operations management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Proofpoint since March 2016, Deb previously held the role of Director of HPWS R&D at Hewlett-Packard, where management of six development teams was undertaken to create a cloud-based platform for HP's business units. Deb's extensive experience includes roles at Palm/HP as Director of Operations, where leadership was provided for multiple teams focused on network performance and security. Deb has managed software development teams at Palm, Kestrel Systems, Dotcast, and various medical technology companies, demonstrating expertise in software engineering since starting in 1986. Deb holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from California State University - East Bay.
