Eric Koeppen

Eric Koeppen is an experienced threat researcher currently employed at Proofpoint since June 2017, focusing on the Premium Threat Information Service. Prior to this, Koeppen worked as a Research Analyst at Optiv Inc, where evaluations of partner products were conducted, and as a researcher at IBM in the X-Force Advanced Research team, analyzing malware trends to enhance Intrusion Prevention Systems. Koeppen's career also includes roles as a Reverse Engineer at SRA International and MacAulay Brown, where firmware and malicious code analysis were performed, as well as software engineering positions at Lockheed Martin and the National Security Agency, contributing to security systems for the Joint Strike Fighter and providing information systems security engineering support, respectively. Koeppen holds an MBA from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University.
