Raj Raman

Raj Raman is a highly experienced technology leader with a focus on engineering and software development in the cybersecurity and network solutions sectors. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Proofpoint since July 2022, Raj leads global teams in developing advanced web security and data loss prevention microservices on AWS, contributing to significant product growth. Prior to this, Raj held roles as Director and Distinguished Engineer at SonicWall, overseeing cross-functional product launches and guiding software development teams, and as Senior Principal Engineer, where contributions included significant architecture and feature development for firewall products. Earlier experience includes key positions at Blue Coat Systems and KLA-Tencor, enhancing network security solutions and embedded systems, respectively. Raj holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur.
