Kathleen Murphy

Dr. Murphy joined ProPath in 2010. She has wide expertise in laboratory management and operations, as well as in molecular diagnostics and specialty testing. Prior to joining ProPath, Dr. Murphy was the Director of the Molecular Diagnostics Lab and an Associate Professor of Pathology and Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She has published more than 80 journal articles, book chapters, and books. Dr. Murphy’s honors include Young Investigator Awards from both the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and the Association of Molecular Pathology (AMP).

Dr. Murphy obtained her B.S. in Medical Technology from the George Mason University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Louisville. Her postgraduate training included a Fellowship in Molecular Pathology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
