Marisa Smith

Marisa Smith is an experienced professional in the fields of assurance accounting, impact investment, corporate law, and research analysis. With a Bachelor of Commerce from both the University of Victoria and Waseda University, Marisa held an Independent Business Group Assurance Co-op position at Grant Thornton LLP in Canada, where skills in validation and preparation of assurance reports were developed. At Propel Impact, roles as Impact Investment Fellow and Earned Revenue Associate involved overseeing software launches and facilitating training for the Canadian Government. Experience as a Corporate Law Co-op at Crease Harman LLP focused on corporate law, wills and estates, and commercial leases. Currently serving as a Deal Analyst at Women's Equity Lab and previously as a Research Analyst for the Canadian Anti-Monopoly Project, Marisa continues to build expertise in impactful financial and legal frameworks.
