Advisor at Proper

Adam Perlman is currently an advisor at Proper. Adam has over four years of experience in controllership and finance management. Prior to Proper, Adam Perlman was the controller and director of finance at Adam James Consulting from 2010 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the monthly close of a $40M distribution company as well as preparation of the financial reporting package to the Private Equity Group. Adam also prepared the monthly reporting package including sales reports for the CEO and Private Equity investors, and provided monthly financial analysis of actual to budgeted results in order to verify accuracy of the financial statements and to provide department heads with key information on operations.

In addition to their work at Adam James Consulting, Adam Perlman also served as the interim VP of finance for Kwik Tek and Checkers Industrial Safety Products. At Kwik Tek, they were responsible for reducing the close time from one month to 15 days through a detailed closing schedule. Adam was also directly involved in inventory, fixed assets, cash and collections due to the limited accounting structure. At Checkers Industrial Safety Products, they were responsible for creating the monthly financial package as well as expense detail and loan covenants, and creating the 2011 budget by month and a five year budget at the consolidated level for all financial statements. Adam presented monthly results and the annual budget to the company President as well as the Board of Directors, and coordinated an opening balance sheet audit reflecting an accurate opening balance sheet post acquisition between external auditors and an independent third party valuation company.

Adam Perlman's experience in controllership and finance management makes him an ideal advisor at Proper. Adam's ability to prepare accurate financial reports and budgets, as well as their experience working with Private Equity investors, makes him a valuable asset to the team at Proper.
