Gregory Kufner

Gregory Kufner serves as a Senior CMC Consultant at ProPharma since May 2023 and has held the position of Executive Director of Technical Services at Akorn, Inc. since October 2016, after being promoted from Director in 2018. At Akorn, Gregory led a team addressing technical issues across a portfolio of over 200 products and coordinated multiple R&D and technology transfer programs for manufacturing facilities in Switzerland and New Jersey. Prior to Akorn, Gregory worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientific Manager, leading global CMC efforts for small molecule programs. Gregory's career began at Hospira, where significant contributions included the development of biosimilar protein pharmaceuticals and biogeneric peptide products. Gregory holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Illinois Wesleyan University.
