Josh Devan, PhD, is currently a Staff Engineer at ProphetX, where they develop advanced cross-platform, multithreaded applications in C++. Previously, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at SecureCo and Mechdyne Corporation, working on network protocols and client applications. Josh earned their Doctor of Philosophy from William & Mary and has also obtained multiple advanced degrees, including a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina State University and a Master of Engineering from Old Dominion University. They are passionate about solving complex computing problems, focusing on performance optimizations and thread concurrency.
