Toon de Groot is an accomplished strategic leader with extensive experience in the aerospace parts distribution industry. They served as Sr. VP of Strategic Partnerships at Proponent from 2020 to 2025 and retired as Sr. VP of Business Development & Contracts, having played a pivotal role in the company's growth. Prior to Proponent, Toon held various leadership positions at Avio-Diepen, including Sr. VP of Business Development & Contracts, and VP & General Manager of Avio-Diepen Inc., where they established the first overseas distribution center in Atlanta. Toon co-owned Dealership Superstar Windsurf Boards from 1977 to 1981 and gained valuable early experience in sales at Wittebrug Automobielmaatschappij. They hold degrees from the Netherlands Institute of Marketing and Driebergen Business School.
