Asia Fields is an experienced engagement reporter at ProPublica since March 2022, specializing in projects that intertwine multiple sources to highlight the impact of social issues and prioritize community perspectives. Previously, as an emerging investigative reporter at The Seattle Times from July 2018 to February 2022, Asia contributed to significant coverage of long-term care facilities during the pandemic and collaborated on a Title IX project that established an innovative state database. Other roles at The Seattle Times included breaking news reporter and metro reporting intern, where essential breaking news coverage and enterprise stories were produced, ultimately influencing state law on sexual misconduct disclosures.
