Audrey Dutton

Audrey Dutton is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in investigative reporting and teaching. Currently serving as a Reporter for ProPublica since June 2023, Audrey is part of the ProPublica NW team. In addition, Audrey has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Boise State University since January 2020, teaching an upper-level journalism course focused on public affairs reporting. Prior to these roles, Audrey was a Senior Reporter at Idaho Capital Sun, where investigative work centered on politics and government from March 2021 to June 2023, and served as the Senior Investigative Reporter at Idaho Statesman from January 2011 to March 2021. Other notable positions include reporting for The Bond Buyer, general assignment reporting at The Gazette, and prior freelance journalism work. Audrey holds an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science and English from Hamline University.
