Jake Reid has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Jake started their career as an intern at IRCICA in 2014, followed by an internship as a Software Engineer Intern at Vistakon in 2015. In 2016, they joined Aspire Technology Limited as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2018. In 2017, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Social Spring and held the position until 2019. From 2018 to 2020, Jake served as the Chief Technology Officer at Apex Digital Media. Currently, they are working as a Full Stack Developer at Propylon since September 2020.
Jake Reid began their education in 2011 at Technological University Dublin where they pursued a degree in BEng Technology (Ordinary) with a specialization in Electrical and Control Engineering at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). Jake completed this degree in 2014.
In 2014, Jake joined Technological University Dublin again, this time to pursue a BEng (Honours) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Jake successfully completed this program in 2016.
After a gap of a few years, in 2019, Jake enrolled in Code Institute to broaden their skill set and completed a Level 6 Diploma in Full Stack Software Development in 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Jake has obtained several certifications. In 2015, they received a certification in "Programming in VBA - Using Microsoft Excel 2010" from Professional Training Solutions Limited. The same year, they also obtained a "Safe Pass Training" certification from Foras Áiseanna Saothair (FÁS).
Most recently, in November 2020, Jake obtained a "Diploma in Software Development" certification from Code Institute.
