Corey Chivers

Corey Chivers has a diverse work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Senior AI Scientist for Proscia. From 2014 to 2021, they held various roles at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, including Lead Data Scientist, Senior Data Scientist, and Data Scientist, where they built systems to accelerate the development and deployment of real-time predictive applications in health care. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Computational and Statistical Consultant on a freelance basis. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Co-Founder of the Montreal R User Group, which aimed to bring together users of the R statistical programming environment. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the Tomlinson Project for University Level Science Education, and from 2006 to 2009, they were a Research Analyst at the Centre for Local Research into Public Space, where they provided policy analysis of municipal operations of public spaces in Toronto.

Corey Chivers attended McGill University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Corey then returned to McGill University from 2008 to 2014 to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Biology. In September 2013, they obtained a certification in Startup Engineering from Coursera.
