Joel Phillips

Joel Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Joel is currently the CEO and Founder of Proshark, a tech firm specializing in software, mobile app, and website development. Joel also developed a martech platform called mPro SaaS. In 2021, Joel became the Founder, CTO, and Global Managing Partner at Strategic Advisor Board, where they provide advisory and technical consulting services to small and mid-market companies in software development, SaaS, and digital marketing. Prior to this, Joel founded and served as a strategic advisor at Atheneum Blockchain, where they developed a world-class educational and training platform. Joel also founded WhoTakesCoin, a blockchain project focused on creating a central store of information for individuals and companies involved in cryptocurrency transactions.

Before their ventures in the technology sector, Joel held various positions in the industry. Joel was a Senior Project Manager at 4G Development & Consulting, managing over 30 commercial construction projects and liaising with municipalities and jurisdictional agencies for project approvals.

In their earlier career, Joel founded J Phillips, Inc. / Lighthouse, a real estate and technology organization with annual sales exceeding $250M. Joel developed a proprietary recommendation engine and a subscription model web platform for distressed assets, valuation, lending, and related services. Joel also worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where they created and launched the Business Intelligence Group, aggregating data and developing marketing intelligence.

Joel's work experience also includes being a Senior Technical Analyst at eAssist Global Solutions, translating business requirements into technical specifications and managing the technical portion of the sales cycle. Joel also served as the VP of Technology & Operations at American Loans, Inc., overseeing the development of financial software, CRM, and Business Intelligence functions. Additionally, Joel worked as the Regional Director of Operations at ELNT, Inc., managing a team of 240 employees across multiple states and handling operational responsibilities with a $24 million annual budget.

Joel Phillips completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management / International Business from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Joel pursued their higher education and obtained an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, Joel began their legal studies at the Northwestern California University School of Law as a First Year Law Student.
