Michael Jansen

Michael Jansen has extensive work experience in the field of technology and data analytics. From 1996 to 2008, they worked at the University of New South Wales as the Deputy Manager of the Computing Centre. In this role, they were responsible for managing and overseeing the computing infrastructure.

In 2008, they joined SIRCA Ltd as a Senior Linux Systems Engineer. Here, they played a key role in maintaining and optimizing the Linux systems within the company. Michael stayed with SIRCA Ltd for a decade, leaving in August 2018.

Since October 2018, Michael has been working at Prospection AU as a Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer. Prospection is a healthcare data analytics product company that specializes in extracting insights from various data sets, including patient data, pharmaceutical sales, and CRM activity datasets. Michael's role involves developing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools used to extract actionable insights from data, primarily for clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michael Jansen completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Electrical Engineering, at the University of Sydney from 1982 to 1986. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in Amazon Web Services, including AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional in June 2018, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in May 2018, AWS Certified Developer - Associate in March 2018, and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate in December 2017.
