Julia Tijaja

Julia Tijaja has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Julia currently works at Prospera as the Head of Markets and Competitiveness, overseeing expansion of markets and job creation. Prior to this, they were the Lead Adviser at Prospera, supporting private sector development and economic reform in Indonesia. Julia has also worked at the ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute as an Associate Senior Fellow, focusing on ASEAN economic resilience and the ASEAN Economic Community Post-2025 agenda. Julia has held positions at the ASEAN Secretariat, Fung Global Institute, International Institute for Sustainable Development, Office of the Chief Trade Adviser (OCTA), Kasetsart University, UNDP, Solomon Islands Government, and Centre of Strategic and International Studies. Julia's expertise lies in market expansion, economic integration, trade policy, and sustainable development.

Julia Tijaja has a diverse education history. In 1998-1999, they attended St. Hilda's Secondary School, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned. Julia then pursued a BSc in Economics with Politics at Queen Mary University of London from 2001 to 2004. Following this, they enrolled in the University of Oxford in 2004-2005, where they obtained an MSc in Economics for Development. Continuing their academic journey, Julia Tijaja attended The Open University from 2007 to 2010, completing a PhD in Development Economics. In 2018, they attended NUS Business School and obtained a certificate in the Leadership Development Programme. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Sustainable Development Provisions in Free Trade Agreements" from the United Nations ESCAP in May 2022, "Digital Transformation" from the University of Virginia in December 2021, and "Global Diplomacy - Diplomacy in the Modern World" from the University of London also in December 2021.
