Erik Carlin

Erik Carlin is the co-founder and chief product officer of ProsperOps, a company that specializes in cloud computing. Prior to ProsperOps, Carlin spent over 10 years at Rackspace Technology in various leadership roles. In their most recent role at Rackspace, Carlin was the VP of product and engineering for the company's managed public clouds. Erik was also a founding member of the Rackspace Managed GCP team and the Technical Career Track (TCT) Board of Directors.

Carlin is a thought leader in the cloud computing space and has been instrumental in the development and success of several cloud-based products and services. Erik is a founding member of the OpenStack project and has served as the senior technical spokesman for Rackspace Cloud. Carlin has also been involved in the development of on-demand computing, which later became known as cloud computing or Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).

Under Carlin's leadership, ProsperOps has become a leading provider of cloud cost optimization services. The company's Autonomous Cloud Savings platform has helped customers increase savings by 68% on average. Carlin's vision for ProsperOps is to help businesses prosper in the cloud by providing a roboadvisor for cloud computing that automates cost optimization activities.

Erik Carlin has a B.S. from Virginia Tech in Computer Engineering from 1991-1995 and they also have a General Management degree from The University of Texas at Austin - Red McCombs School of Business from 2013-2014.
