Tom Balback

Tom Balback is an experienced FinOps professional, currently serving as a FinOps Systems Analyst at ProsperOps since May 2025, specializing in autonomous cloud cost optimization for major cloud platforms. Tom's background includes a role as a FinOps Data Analyst at Vega Cloud from May 2023 to May 2025, where expertise in data analysis facilitated enhanced visibility on cloud usage and spending. Prior to these positions, Tom developed leadership and management skills through various roles, including Deck Manager at Wave Aquatics and Pool Manager for the Kingsgate 1&2 HOA. Tom’s journey began with achieving the Eagle Scout rank with the Boy Scouts of America, alongside academic accomplishments, earning a degree in Management Information Systems and Finance from Washington State University in 2022.
