Nigel Watts has extensive work experience in the engineering software industry, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Nigel started their career at Beca as an Executive Civil Engineer from 1996 to 2003. Nigel then joined CSC World as a Sales Engineer in 2003 and eventually became the Asia Pacific Regional Director, responsible for various aspects of the company's operations. In 2015, Nigel became the Managing Director at Prota A.Ş., overseeing the company's software operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Nigel Watts earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they were an exchange student at Toho Senior High School in Nagoya, Japan from 1991 to 1992. Nigel completed their high school education at Shirley Boys High School from 1987 to 1991.
