Acquired by Simulation Theory in 2025, Protagonist Games was founded in 2018 by Anthony Castoro as an independent games and technology company in the Greater San Diego area. We solve tough technical, design and production challenges in everything from multiplayer performance optimization in AAA games to large scale VR backends for global retail brands. Our team thrives on interesting challenges that are surfaced by the unique intersection of interactive technology and business needs.
