Patrick Smith

Patrick Smith has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Patrick is currently serving as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Protagonist Therapeutics since June 2021. Previously, they held a similar role at Kodiak Sciences from March 2020 until June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Quality Assurance at MyoKardia from September 2016 to March 2020 and as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Anacor Pharmaceuticals from October 2013 to September 2016. Patrick also held various quality assurance and validation roles at Elan, Genentech, IDEC, Amgen, Baxter Healthcare, and John Brown E&C earlier in their career.

Patrick Smith received a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology from Trinity College Dublin in the academic year 2009-2010. Prior to that, they attended Alliant International University from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued studies in Strategic Management, although they did not obtain a specific degree. In 1994-1996, they obtained a Certificate in Total Quality Management from UCLA. Their undergraduate education was at Rochester Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
