Jorge Olazo

Jorge Olazo has a strong background in design engineering and packaging. Jorge currently holds the role of Director of Design Engineering at ProtecPac since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Design Engineering Manager at ProtecPac from August 2021 to October 2022. Before joining ProtecPac, Jorge worked as a Senior Packaging Engineer at EPE USA from July 2018 to August 2021, and as a Senior Packaging Engineer at Kingston Technology from November 2016 to July 2018. Jorge also has experience as a Packaging Engineer at Plantronics from April 2010 to October 2016, where they were involved in structural packaging design and die-lines creation. Additionally, they worked as a Product Design Instructor at Universidad Tecnologica de Tijuana in 2012, teaching students about product development process and CAD modeling. Earlier in their career, Jorge served as a Mechanical Engineer at Meade Instruments from September 2008 to April 2010, focusing on telescope retrofit and design of custom parts. Jorge also worked as a CNC Specialist at Delphi Connection Systems from April 2007 to September 2008. Overall, Jorge has a diverse and extensive work experience in design engineering and packaging.

Jorge Olazo obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from UTT in 2009-2011. Jorge also received a certification as a Certified SolidWorks Professional from DS SolidWorks Corporation in an undisclosed year.
