Jon Fitzpatrick

Jon Fitzpatrick has extensive work experience in the energy and natural resources sector. Jon currently serves as the Managing Director at Gneiss Energy since May 2016. Jon is also a Non-Executive Director at Proteus since March 2019. In addition, Jon is involved in various leadership and research roles at the University of Dundee since October 2019. Jon has served as a Board Director and President at the Scottish Energy Forum from October 2008 to October 2015. Moreover, Jon has held the position of Senior Advisor to the Board at RockRose Energy from May 2016 to September 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Macquarie Group as the Head of Energy & Natural Resources, EMEA; Co-Head of ECM, Europe; and Senior Managing Director from May 2014 to May 2016. Additionally, Jon held the role of Head of Energy & Natural Resources (Corporate Finance) at Cenkos Securities plc from September 2008 to May 2014.

Jon Fitzpatrick completed their education at the University of Dundee. From 1990 to 1994, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Honors degree, specializing in Law. Following this, from 1994 to 1996, Jon obtained a Distinction in LL.M in Petroleum Economics/Natural Resources Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy at the same university. Lastly, in 1996-1997, they received a Diploma in Legal Practice (DipLP) from the University of Dundee.
