Brian Campbell

Vice President, Head Of Translational Medicine at Prothena

Brian Campbell has over 20 years of work experience, primarily in the field of translational medicine and neuroscience. Brian is currently the Vice President and Head of Translational Medicine at Prothena Corporation plc, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, they served as an Adjunct Ryan Research Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Rhode Island starting from May 2016. From November 2018 to November 2020, Brian was the Senior Director of Translational Science at Sage Therapeutics. Before that, they were the Vice President of Pharmacology and Co-Founder of MindImmune Therapeutics, Inc. from January 2016 to November 2018. Brian has also worked at Lundbeck Research USA as the Associate Director and Head of In Vivo Biology from October 2014 to December 2015, and as a Principal Scientist from March 2011 to October 2014. Brian started their career at Pfizer as a Principal Scientist from September 2003 to May 2006, and later as a Senior Principal Scientist from May 2006 to March 2011. Prior to joining Pfizer, Brian worked as a Post Doctoral Scientist at Pharmacia from August 2001 to July 2003.

Brian Campbell earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neuroscience from Wayne State University School of Medicine from 1998 to 2001.
