Malinda Hurst

Malinda Hurst possesses extensive experience in quality management and assurance within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, holding progressively responsible roles at several notable companies. At Prothena Corporation from November 2020 to March 2025, Malinda served as Sr. Director and Director of Quality Management. Prior to this, leadership positions included Director of GXP QA and Associate Director of GMP QA at Protagonist Therapeutics from August 2017 to October 2020, along with an Associate Director role in GMP Quality Assurance at ChemoCentryx from September 2015 to August 2017. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Manager in GMP Quality Assurance at Gilead Sciences and XenoPort. Malinda earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from San José State University between January 1986 and January 1991.
