We spent countless hours laboring over information to provide us with the tools to manage disease states that shorten the lives of our patients.  Application of this knowledge often comes in the form of long days and endless nights of caring for people’s needs in spite of our own.  The stress of our clinical existence is sometimes a heavy burden to carry.
We chose the field of medicine because we want to give..…to make a difference…..to have a positive impact on those around us.

But, we lack some tools to put the package together successfully—not clinical tools, but business ones.  

Contributing to the problem is a lack of time to give to the business tools so that we can master them and apply them in the workplace.  In this ever-changing competitive market of shrinking bottom lines, clinicians often find the stress of our business existence even a heavier burden to carry.

Clinicians need to lessen the stresses of the business of medicine and focus on the art of medicine.
