Hardware System Engineer at Protoinnovations

Tom Brown has worked in the engineering field since 2013. Tom began their career as a Laboratory/Technical Intern at Takata Corporation in 2013. In 2014, they became a Student and Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan. From 2015 to 2022, Tom worked as a Systems Development Engineer, an Application Engineering Intern, and a Hardware System Engineer at JTEKT North America Corporation. During their time as an Application Engineering Intern, Tom developed new mechanisms leading to new IP, simulated and modeled system behavior, and supported prototype design and assembly of prototype steering gears. Tom is currently employed as a Hardware System Engineer at PROTOINNOVATIONS, LLC.

Tom Brown attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Tom also attended the University of Michigan-Flint from 2013 to 2014, studying Mechanical Engineering. In April 2017, they obtained a SOLIDWORKS Mechanical Design Professional certification from Dassault Systèmes.
