Greg Thompson

Greg Thompson is a seasoned operations and marketing professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Sr. Director of Operations - CNC at Protolabs since 2015, Greg oversees the CNC service and leads a team of 195 employees at the Brooklyn Park manufacturing facility. In addition, Greg holds the position of Global Product Director for both CNC Machining and 3D Printing at 220 Knots LLC, a consultancy focused on strategic business and marketing solutions. Prior roles include Marketing Director at Andersen Corporation, Marketing Manager at Polaris Industries and General Mills, where impactful strategies led to significant revenue growth. Greg's foundational experience in the US Army as a Captain further enhances leadership capabilities. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, a Master's in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
