Philip Tzonev

Philip Tzonev is a skilled propulsion engineer with experience in the aerospace sector, currently working at Protolaunch since April 2024. Previously, Philip held the position of Graduate Engineer at Reaction Engines from October 2022 to April 2024. As part of the Imperial College London Rocketry team from November 2018 to September 2022, Philip served as Propulsion Lead, overseeing the development of a hybrid engine for the EuRoC 2022 competition and leading test campaigns. Philip also gained valuable experience in various propulsion system components while working as a Student Propulsion Engineer, and completed a Propulsion Internship at Rocket Factory Augsburg in 2021, focusing on engine feed systems and thrust chamber design. Philip earned a Master of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Imperial College London in July 2022.
