Derek Exner

Derek Exner is an accomplished professional in the field of clinical trials and public health, currently serving as the Executive Director of the IMPACT Clinical Trials Accelerator and Associate Dean at the University of Calgary since 2000, alongside a professorship. Since March 2019, Derek has also held the position of Chief Medical Officer at HelpWear. In addition, Derek contributes as the Canada Research Chair in Cardiovascular Clinical Trials at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research since July 2011 and serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Analytics 4 Life / CorVista. Derek is an advisor at eMurmur since December 2018. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the same institution.
