The Mission
ProVision Alliance empowers young people to break cycles of poverty and move towards sustainable careers and financial freedom. Through self-discovery and access to opportunity, we help youth build confidence, understand their strengths, and envision fulfilling futures.
We work through a three-pronged approach: strengthening self-belief, providing career guidance tools, and connecting young people to personalised career pathways. Alongside this, we offer individualised plans, workshops, and links to established services that help overcome the barriers students face. Our focus is on all youth, regardless of academic background.
Our Long-Term Goals
We aim to address the challenges facing the Cape Flats community by alleviating poverty, reducing unemployment, narrowing education disparities, tackling substance abuse and gang involvement among youth, and attracting sustained community development.
Our Short to Medium-Term Goals
Goal 1: Inspire and shift perspective. Create awareness of what success can look like through public speaking by individuals from similar backgrounds who share how their journeys unfolded.
Goal 2: Build self-understanding. Provide resources that help students understand their personality types, strengths, and matching career paths.
Goal 3: Make information accessible. Offer easy-to-use guidance on job types, related courses, and the school subjects each pathway requires.
Goal 4: Connect youth to services. Maintain a central database of Western Cape organisations working to reduce the barriers students face.
Goal 5: Strengthen academic and tertiary readiness. Deliver workshops tailored to students' academic needs.
Goal 6: Build work readiness. Run workshops on CV development, personal branding, interview skills, and professional profiles.
