Dereck Breuning

Dereck Breuning has a diverse range of work experience in the IT field. Dereck co-founded and served as the CEO of Provolve IT, where they helped companies with modern workplace implementations and cloud solutions. Dereck also co-owned Easy Software Deployment, where they managed the product and handled the deployment of various applications.

In addition, Dereck worked at Rijkswaterstaat as a Product Owner and Senior System Integrator. In these roles, they were responsible for guiding teams, setting priorities, and serving as a point of contact for internal customers and other teams. Dereck also provided technical expertise and made critical technical decisions.

Dereck has also worked as an Owner/Founder at DB Productions, where they specialized in IT services and Microsoft products. Dereck has previous experience as a Packaging Engineer at Ministerie van BZK, IBM, Vopak, and Siemens Nederland. During these roles, they were involved in assessing and packaging applications, creating installation manuals, and training employees.

Additionally, Dereck has served as a Windows Client Specialist at Reinier de Graaf Groep, where they played a crucial role in migrating the Windows XP environment to a new Windows 7 environment. Lastly, they were a Packaging Engineer/IT Systems Officer at Fortis Bank (Nederland) NV/ABN AMRO, where they successfully migrated over 200 applications and worked on various platform migrations.

Dereck Breuning completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics from De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a MBO degree in IT from Mondriaan between 2001 and 2004. Dereck also attended Tinbergen College in 1999-2000 for IT studies. In 1998-1999, they pursued Multimedia Design at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam (GLR). Their early education includes completing MAVO degree in Art at Johan de Witt College for the Arts from 1994 to 1998.

Additionally, Dereck Breuning holds various certifications. Dereck obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) certification from Scrum.org in December 2021. In April 2012, they obtained the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft. Additionally, they received the Windows 7, Configuring (70-680) certification from Global Knowledge in May 2010. In 2009, they completed ITIL Foundation certification from The Hague University of Applied Sciences and attended a course on User manuals - Contents, structure, formulation, and presentation by NEN. In May 2008, they obtained the Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional (70-270) certification from Azlan and the InstallShield Certified Repackaging Engineer certification from Professional Development Systems B.V.
