Jason Prothero has a diverse work experience spanning from 1996 to 2016. Jason started their career as a Development Intern at IIMorrow in 1996, followed by QA Intern positions at Timberline Software and Rogue Wave Software in 1997 and 1998, respectively. In 1998, they became the President and Lead Software Developer and Architect at ProWorks Corporation. In 2007, they joined the Software Association of Oregon - Corvallis Chapter as Vice President, where they led technical support and organized events. From 2008 to 2011, they co-organized the Corvallis .NET Users Group, and from 2008 to 2013, they were a Co-Organizer of Ignite Corvallis, responsible for speaker recruitment and event organization. In 2012, they became the President of the Willamette Innovators Network, a local business advocacy group, until 2016.
Jason Prothero attended Oregon State University from 1993 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business. Prior to attending university, Jason also graduated from Hermiston High School, although the specific years are not provided. In terms of additional certifications, Jason obtained the Umbraco Certified Developer certification from Umbraco in April 2010, and the Umbraco Master certification from the same institution in February 2017.
